In 1980, the Knox Hawks were born in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs and began their journey playing within the ESCFA. By 1988 they achieved promotion to C grade, though a change of mascot from ‘Hawks’ to ‘Falcons’ was adopted two years prior at request of local council for alignment with place name. In 1989, opportunity arose for them to join the prestigious EDFL: ambition rewarded by unanimous decision from club officials who also changed team colours – brown & gold replaced by red with black sash into which success found roots when winning first senior premiership title in 1991.

Our Strength & Conditioning Coach managing the Knox fc program: Michael Gaudiano

 ABOUT Michael:

I have always been an avid sport lover growing up in Country Victoria. I developed quite a high standard for myself from a young age, always wanting to compete and be the best I could be. I am big on not stagnating and taking on new experiences to become a more rounded individual.

I’m passionate about the idea that we have so much more control over our bodies than we think, and there is a direct ‘cause and effect’ for everything we do. Building connection with and empowering others is a big reason why I love what I do as a coach. A big part of this is explaining the ‘why’ behind the approach.

I value integrity above all else and try to show this in everything I do!
